As he grins at me
No doubt trying to be
Funny to his peers;
Hearing their smart-ass sneers
And every one a world of hurts.
Smile now, tommorow will be worse.
-
I shed a tear
The last straw, I fear
Is alone as a haystack.
I feel that I lack
The strength - they hack
at the last piece of wood on the bridge.
-
And as he squirts his gun at me
I can feel the world freezing in horror
Every atom turning to crystal in my eyes
Every second frozen forever
As I feel a tiny splatter on my blazer.
I sit down with the 'bad boys',
Throwing a single toy
All across the class,
And in my mind, it came to pass
I should join in with their game.
It ended making me feel lame.
-
I joined in, in my pride,
And it seemed they had something to hide,
But never mind - I carried on,
Until my consideration was totally gone.
But eventually, I came to see
That they were laughing - right at me.
-
As confidence rises, awareness falls.
I feel pushed in, within these walls
One thing leads to another
And I wonder whether,
If I'de sat elsewhere,
Nobody would turn a hair.
-
I'm now feeling altogether reflective
Seeing each laugh from a new p
I sit there, calm, almost yawning
When suddenly, without any warning
Joel holds my neck back - at a pinch
So quickly that I don't flinch
I gurgle helplessly, held there
At that exact point where
The ground waits below me.
-
My chair tilted carefully
The world around me passes totally
Unnoticing. Except my friend, staring
As he considers the chances
Of me falling back.
'Um, Joel?' He said, not wanting to shock.
'If he fell back he could crack his neck'
I pause in my flailing hopefully.
-
I'm let out, I get up immediatly
I sneer 'What was that for?'
'Fun' he replied,
And he laughs
-
Another memory
Down the hole.
